Gus has an attractive personality. That's a huge asset as a college coach and completely irrelevant as an NFL head coach.


Also, he's been the cool teacher enough and he's seen where that got him. I think that his approach to accountability is going to be a lot different moving forward.


Also, the draft process limits the amount of creativity a coach can have with personell. You can only get so many draft picks. In the college game you get as many as you can recruit.


I think that in the short term he is a good fit for a college team.


In the long term I think it will be hard for him to get another shot as an nfl head coach, but i think there s a good chance he'll be a lot more successful should he get another opportunity. He's going to learn a lot from his experience here and his process will be the better for it. I believe this was his first head coaching experience.
