Her story as told to anyone is only as real as she makes it out to be since there is no one to back up anything she says.

 

Why show us a story through someone elses perspective unless to show it was true.  We never get Homer telling OA what happened.  If they are just writing off that all as she's crazy than this is a bad show not a decent show with an infuriating ending.  She doesn't show to be unreliable at any other time other than withholding information.

The only two things that I can think of that point to her not making it up is the prediction of the shooting, and that we saw Hap kill the other doctor. Technically the latter could be part of her made up story but since they showed it on screen that would be some low down trickery.

it shows that what she said to her dad was true even though he didn't believe her since he never got the note, at what other times does she lie to the five she tells the story to?  She even eventually tells the same story to the parents in the hotel.  And she did come back with her eyesight?  was she unreliably blind early on? No everyone knew her as the blind girl.
