  You both make good points.   Yet,  when a HC leads a team to 3 straight winning seasons and 2 divisional titles,   even in a division that hasn't been good the last couple of seasons,   from my perspective it's still an impressive accomplishment.    That much more when factoring in the Texans finishing all 3 regular seasons strong,   their MNF win at Cincinnati last season against an eventual division winning Bengals team,  and the win over the Chiefs earlier this season.  

 

   The Texans could easily be one and done again in the playoffs this season.    But if someone would have told me before the season how much Brock Osweiler would struggle and that J.J. Watt would miss the vast majority of the season,   a strong case can be made that Bill O'Brien and his staff got more out of this Texans team than a very high % of NFL coaching staffs would have.
