People make mistakes. That's part of life. Most fans don't care what these players do in their personal lives.

A mistake is drinking too much and not having the judgement not to drive. A mistake is getting caught with weed. I've made plenty of mistakes in my life. Everybody has. Intentionally causing harm to another living being for no purpose what so ever is a major character flaw. I don't have that and the vast majority of humans don't either. Apparently Cook does. You need to recognize the difference between mistakes and character flaws. Some people classify every sick and twisted act out there as a mistake. Not everything is a mistake.
