Ramsey confirming what we suspected/knew

#26

I don't think you guys are putting all the pieces together. There are several factors involved in the state we find this team in.

-Players being used against their natural abilities.

-Schemes brought from another team and forced on established players and when it was obvious it didn't fit they forced it harder. The coaching, or lack thereof. Period.

-Lack of leadership starting at the very top. I like what Khan has done for the city and the organization as a whole, but he is ultimately responsible for every single decision made that has to do with top leadership in the organization, be it the coaches, front office people, etc. He may have been fed bad information but the man didn't get to where he is by being an idiot. Unless he was more concerned with building pools and lounge areas in which case he deserves the product he's seen on the field.

-Lack of concern for what I'll call situational awareness. Someone knew something about how it was all going to [BLEEP] but no one would say anything? No one? Bueller? There is something desperately wrong with an organization where things can be this bad for this long and no one steps up. We've seen coaches and GM's fired for much less than what this team has endured so what the hell? Why was no one talking? Why was no one shaking things up to find out what was broken so it could be fixed?

-Players not showing up for games mentally. This has been said by at least one player now and I'm sure others would agree they are guilty. I don't believe it's solely a matter of rich guys wanting a 'vacation' in Jacksonville. When a culture of defeat is cultivated and nurtured by the coach, the head coach specifically, it affects everything and everyone. And defeat is exactly the thing being preached. Never did Gus have anything to say about winning, it was always about getting better. They are not the same thing. And his lack of discipline with and for the players didn't help. The thing that bothers me the most is the veterans didn't do anything. I'm talking about Poz and Marks specifically. They've been in the game long enough. Or maybe they tried but Khan was hellbent on staying with Gus until the end of his contract.

Either way it has all hurt this team, the fans and the city. There are many people at fault here and they should all be ashamed of themselves.
