Being that Shad's boy is highly invested in analytics and Gus Bradley was hitting high marks in that area of study, it's not unreasonable to think that Dave may have been influenced somewhat into making the hire. All of this stuff happens behind closed doors, so there's really no way to know who wanted what for any certainty. All I know is that the job seems to be a more attractive one than it was in 2012, so there's that.
