Bortles: "Olsen and House had different beliefs."

Quote:There's no doubt in my mind that Olsen knows football. But that's not what's most important. What is most important is what you can get the players to do on the field on gameday. You could be the master of every football scheme known to man, but if you can't get the players to pull it off, then what value do you add?

I don't know how you "make" them pull it off. An OC is only as good as his QB in the NFL. Olson was being praised to the heavens in '15 and was sacrificed in '16. What changed? - QB play. You don't think that drove Olson crazy. What's he supposed to do? I'm pretty sure he tried multiple approaches.

Mike McCarthy was trash (supposedly) the first half of this season. Now he's back to being a playoff caliber coach. I wonder why.

Like I've said - what a profession: you're whole future is dependent on the play of one person, and his knees.

The sun's not yellow, it's chicken.

The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
