Bortles: "Olsen and House had different beliefs."

Quote:I don't know how you "make" them pull it off.
An OC is only as good as his QB in the NFL. Olson was being praised to the heavens in '15 and was sacrificed in '16. What changed? - QB play. You don't think that drove Olson crazy. What's he supposed to do? I'm pretty sure he tried multiple approaches.

Mike McCarthy was [NO SYNONYM?] (supposedly) the first half of this season. Now he's back to being a playoff caliber coach. I wonder why.

Like I've said - what a profession: you're whole future is dependent on the play of one person, and his knees.

I have a few ideas on how to do it but there are people out there that hae a pretty good grasp on it. Belichek and McDaniels "made" Garropolo win games versus Arizona and Miami. Then they "made" Brissett win against Houston. Saban has been "making recruiting class after recruiting class win title after title in Alabama.

Not saying it's easy or that anyone can do it, but coaches "make" players perform all the time. Granted, it is about the players performing on the field but you can't just send a guy out there and hope. You prepare them to succeed the best that you possibly can.

They don't pay coaches all that money to ride great player's success to wins. They pay them to get those player's to be able to win.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
