Your acting like Tom is about to strap on a helmet and play QB for us. We just elected a 70 year old to run the country. Flying around in a billionaires jet isnt going to be too stressful. Coughlin and Caldwell will be working hand in hand, Caldwell will be in the same role he has been in, only difference is he has a boss now. Yes, Coughlin will have the final say. He will be directly involved with drafting, signing free agents, cutting players and resigning players. This isnt that complicated, other franchises are doing this as well. Both Tom Coughlin and Caldwell will be there hand in hand making the decisions for this team. Coughlin will have the final say, its being reported, its a fact now. Its been a fact since the move was made, I just think people are shocked that this still happened. 

 

Tom Coughlin isnt going to be Shad Khans golfing buddy telling him what he thinks about the team from time to time. He is the VP Of Football Operations. Look it up, its a big role. He is the final say on the roster. He was brought here because the team has been sucking. 

 

Your acting like Caldwell does all the scouting by hand. You know that we have scouts for a reason right? Yea, I'm sure its long hours being a GM, but hey, it pays well. Coughlin im sure will be going over a lot of game film with Dave Caldwell, but they have every piece of technology and resource at their disposal. Its not like hes going from town to town scouting players at the game. They send scouts to look at players. The GM watches the film, reviews the analysis and makes the decision. 

 

Tom Coughlin is your VP of Football Operations, same as Shack Harris, Caldwell answers directly to him. They both will be working together but absolutely, as of right now, this is the Tom Coughlin era as the personnel guy for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
