Not really seeing Watson at 4. What is everyone seeing against Bama that was so special? If the Bama offense doesnt pull a jags with the lead scenario then clemson loses and a big part would have been on Watson.
He routinely missed NFL throws , bailed from clean pockets , stared down targets and struggled to do anything outside of some nice rollouts on broken plays. A couple nice efforts by his WRs and TEs masked errant throws and added YAC yardage to his total. His first five completions were all short passes and i got the sense he went from Gunslinger to Game Manager in front of a big time defense. He does have heart and he fought through to a win but he is not a top 5 pick type of QB imo. |
