If a fringe first round talent like Mixon falls to day 3 would you take him and endure the short term PR blowback in order to get a steal for potentially half a decade or more? 

 

For those players to work out, you need an organization to keep them in line. A player with character issues would be a disaster for a coach like Bradley. I'm not opposed to taking a chance on someone in a later round but in 1-2 it is really risky and you are just putting even more pressure and money onto a player that may not be able to handle it. I think just like any other organization, it is good to recruit players of high character. There are players of high character who obviously stink but those players do not stink because of their high character. Low character players often have failed careers BECAUSE of their low character. In the end it is just another factor that you have to evaluate and weigh against other things. If you read it wrong, you will be a goat, if you read it right, you might get Randy Moss.
