I believe most college running backs have to be judged by their vision, speed, power, elusiveness and durability.

Stats are imho not something that should be considered because some teams go through the entire college season without facing a decent defense.

I mean some of these running backs have basically no opposition until they are at the second level of the defense

( safeties and DBS).

And from what I understand... Basically no college team's ask a running back to stay in and block on passing downs.

So they MUST be judged by what they have done in college that will absolutely transfer to the NFL...

If u go back and look at Elliott the rookie RB for Dallas college highlight YouTube stuff.

You will see him do exactly what he does in Dallas now.

He has a good burst to get him past the d line, he has patience when no hole is there. ( But he doesn't stumble around like yeldon does, he jitter steps but he's looking for a crease while he's doing it and gets 3 or 4 yards almost every time)

While running at speed he makes good decisions when he senses he's going to run out of room and maximizes yards available.

He rarely if ever runs straight into a lone defender with his head down.

He rarely fumbles

He is viscous every time the ball is snapped regardless of what the play is.

He's blocking, running people over, ECT ECT.

We have to find a guy with traits that are most likely to transfer to the NFL.

Looking at yeldons you tube college highlight stuff...

There's no comparison to Elliott's.

I have compared the 2 several times and scoured around for more film.

And there is no comparison.

It's obvious to me that Elliott's skills should have transferred over

And yeldons stats shouldn't have.

Elliott's did

Yeldons didn't.

Yeldon does exactly in the NFL what he did in college if there is no initial hole he's Stutter Steps Jitters and runs into the back of the person in front of him for no gain.

If I can see this and I'm not an NFL evaluator why in the hell do we draft this guy?

Now that I realize how to judge a college running backs potential abilities in the NFL based off of College film.

I can not pull my eyes away from Calvin cool.

Everything I saw in Elliott's College film I see in Cooks. The one thing that I see and cooks that is not present in Elliot's is it absolutely amazing ability to make people Miss in close quarters. Elliott has some escapability but look closely resembles Houdini from time to time. For me? I want Dalvin cook
