People are praising Coughlin, sayin he's going to change this team with the guys he's hiring, then nobody even brings up his name when they disagree with a coaching hire.

 

Hey, you guys keep bringing up Gus and crew blah blah blah, but remember Coughlin has final say in everything right? He makes the decisions right? Well then, it's obvious he first handily signed off on Wash and Hackett coming back, since you know he has the final say.

It's because of Coughlin, when you agree with something and it's everybody else's fault (everybody else but Coughlin) when you don't agree with something. Since he's supposed to be running the show, he's the one rehiring Wash and Hackett. So yeah, deal with it lololololol

 

Ive addressed this already with wash and more specifically Hackett. In my opinion this is a Marrone hire. But most notably I think its an effort to build continuity for one last ditch effort at giving bortles a chance at success. I really don't fault them at all really. We couldn't expect them to realistically cut bait before having the backup plan. But I think they will absolutely have things setting in motion for that moment they realize Bortles is not the answer. Free agency and the draft should give us some clues in their thinking /plan.
