People like Eli Manning, Cam Newton and Andrew Luck has similar flaws just like Blake but they also won base on better personnel, coaching and brakes along the way and i'm happy to explain each case. Eli Manning has better personnel during the 2 seasons he won the superbowl and as far as Eli's play recently when he has the receiver of the caliber of O'Dell Jr his accuracy issues are non issues because that guy is always open unlike allen robinson who can't create the same mismatches similar to him. In Cam Newton case he had for a 3 year stretch before this year had one of the best defenses in the league in addition to a great running game to help him win. Lastly, Andrew Luck went to the playoffs the first 3 years but it wasn't an accident he was helped by the division and the qb's he faced 6 times a year during that span Jags (Gabbert, Henne, rookie Blake), Titans ( Locker, Whitehurts, Mettenburg), and Texans ( Schaub, Yates, Fitzpatrick) so it's not a consequence that he won 17 straight games against the AFC South during his first 3 years and was 15-15 vs the rest of the league. However, since the division has somewhat caught up to him all of a sudden he isn't running through the division anymore but because the media likes him they're blaming his supporting cast instead of him and his mistakes.



My bottom line is we're so quick to turn on Blake base on our long suffering recent history of losing instead of actually letting him developed because who knows he just reach his full potential. He's not blaine gabbert who was a lost cause base on his fear of phantom pressure and had a GM in Gene Smith who was an absolute idiot when it came to scouting NFL players. Blake has alot of talent and i just hope they allow him to put it all together for this team and put the right amount of talent around him personnel wise for him to succeed for this team.

And I hope this is the case,but for many of us the eye test is a important tool when judging a player..And Bortles have failed that eye test.. Yes he have shown flashes but what good is lightning if it don't storm.. We need Bortles to rain in good plays consistently.. And he haven't done that.. Every game you see balls in the dirt, wobbly passes, overthrown balls on wide open receivers.. Hell it's sad when at the end of a close game you expect a turnover from this guy... He just ain't a winner... And I'm tired waiting and watching him.. Tom, Marrone please go find us a winner.. We need a Aaron Rodgers,Matt Ryan,Tom Brady.. We need a elite qb! And if Andrew Luck would have had this team I guarantee we would have been 10-6..
