No doubt he is the consensus number 1 player in this draft and he plays a premium position which could put the Jaguars defense over the top. The only hesitancy is there are no guarantees- even with a top 2 pick. Also, the Jaguars have not had the best track record taking pass rushers high in the draft; i.e. Harvey, Alualu and even Branch in the 2nd.

 

That being said, they have to trust their pre-draft analysis and if he checks all the boxes you try to move up and take him. I wonder what it would take to accomplish this. To move up 2 spots that high in the draft they may have to part with their 2nd rounder. Although this would hurt, I'd still do it. If it only took a 3rd rounder, that would be a no-brainer.
