Rank RBs after Cook and Fournette
|
Quote:Sure he will. You can be a "three down" back and still give some carries to others in certain situations. McCoy was an every down back in Philly and they still have carries to Sproles-esque. This isn't the 80's. There's plenty of usage for a change of pace or pass catching back in a system designed around a main RB. I know "committee" usually means what the Falcons are doing with Freeman and Coleman. My thought was the Vikings never take Peterson (Fournette's NFL comparison) off the field for a change of pace and he would go to a team that does not emphasize what Yeldon does on offense. If a team is desperate enough to take the best RB in the draft, they just want a guy who can run three yards and a cloud of dust. |
