If we want a guy that can line up at WR/RB more fluidly and naturally. It would be Christian McCaffrey out of Stanford. I would be fine with him being here if they see him sitting on the board still in RD2. But I honestly have a feeling that a team like Green Bay or New England will be eyeing him towards the bottom of the first round. 

 

He's a good athlete. He's quick. Shifty. He has a good pedigree with his father having had a solid career in the NFL as well. Just seems to be the kind of player New England likes. And he would fit their system to a tee. 

 

Yes, I would caution everyone about McCaffrey, do not stereotype the guy.  He's a quick-twitch athlete, very elusive in the open field.   His pedigree includes not only his father being an NFL WR, but also, his mother's father, who in 2010 was named Duke University Athlete of the Century (the 20th century of course).  You can look him up.  His name was Dave Sime.   I'll be interested to see if McCaffrey inherited any of that speed.
