Could Dalvin Cook be used as a WR/RB..

Quote:Yes, I would caution everyone about McCaffrey, do not stereotype the guy. He's a quick-twitch athlete, very elusive in the open field. His pedigree includes not only his father being an NFL WR, but also, his mother's father, who in 2010 was named Duke University Athlete of the Century (the 20th century of course). You can look him up. His name was Dave Sime. I'll be interested to see if McCaffrey inherited any of that speed. Yeah that's impressive. I didn't know he was related to Dave Sime. That's even more remarkable. I remember catching Ed's career towards the end of Elway's career in Denver. He was a big contributor for three years there. I keep seeing people shying away from him though by making the mistake of thinking Toby Gerhart was successful in Stanford too but never stepped up in the NFL. Toby's nowhere near the same athlete as Christian. Toby is much bigger, more of a pounder type in between the tackles. He wasn't nearly as quick, explosive or deadly in open space as Christian. I personally think he's going to be a solid player at the next level. Probably a Jordy Nelson type guy at a skill position that you don't expect to see anymore. That's why I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up in Green Bay knowing how bad they're health wise at the RB position or New England just because he fits them to a tee. And shame on us all if he does end up in the hands of Brady and Belichick for the next two or three years. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing; Rush in and die, dogs - I was a man before I was a king." |
