That sucks...I feel so bad for the family! That's why they tell you that even minor procedures can be dangerous. I'd have a hard time "unplugging" my child right away too...at least I'd want to be 100% sure before I did! Once it's done it can't be undone!
On a side note: I didn't know they still did those surgeries any more. It was common place when I was young, but not one of my sons school friends ever had it done. I couldn't tell you the last time I heard of someone having their tonsils removed. :no:
