Playing Xbox for hours(when I can), staring at tall buildings when I go downtown, getting a window seat to watch the plane take off. I look at my dad who's in his early 50s and when we go out he still likes to party and have fun.


Now I'm not saying 50 is old, but it seems like a lifetime away for me. I'm just curious who, as they aged, still feels like they always have? Albeit with maybe a few more cracks and pops in the morning lol

 

Here's the deal.  The answer is yes, you do change mentally as you get older but your awareness of that change is so gradual and muted that you can talk yourself into believing you feel exactly the same.  Mostly this manifests itself as younger people appearing to always be rushing around in an awful dag-nabbed hurry and afternoon naps holding a lot more appeal than they did just a few years ago.  Also, while you'll generally continue to be open to new experiences (new music, new movies, Jaguars winning seasons, etc.) you'll generally feel that having the volume of life on 6 or 7 is just fine (as opposed to having to turn it up to 10 all the time).  Happy aging!
