Wentz and Goff weren't just a twitter scout thing they were highly regarded by the big draft guys too. When in reality it was a product of a weak class and a definitive top 2 which hyped them up.


This year you have a clear cut top 4 , with tons of varying opinions of who the top guy or even top guys are. Mayock for instance has Kizer and Watson top 2. Brugler has Trubisky and Kizer top 2.

Because there is no consensus at the top its perceived as being weak.


Again, watch how this class begins to get talked about after the combine. Its like clock work how it works.

 

Mike Mayock said he is "scared to death" about any QB being picked in the top 10. He does not like DeShone Kizer in high pressure situations and has concerns about Deshaun Watson's accuracy.

 

Carson Wentz was supposed to learn from the bench. The Vikings forced the Eagles to change their plans after losing Teddy Bridgewater. Wentz started OK, then showed a long windup on this throws and other mechanical issues. Jon Gruden explained in December Wentz's interceptions were the result of being unprepared for the NFL's faster speed as he saw wide open receivers and bam, defenders seemed to come out of nowhere.
