However, like you, I didn't see any 100,000 figure. I imagine the 100K is the number of national guard units in those states, thus is probably hyperbole compared to the likely number deployed. Not 'fake news' as such, but the usual click bait that both conservative and liberal news does to increase hype and get ratings. Still, this would be a pretty significant expansion on those previous operations you cited.
