That is an interesting point.

Many many people who sucked at playing have definitely been able to teach players to a level far higher than they themselves had ever reached.

It's all about ability. ..

And helping each individual find their ceiling and when they find and reach it they need to be in a system that allows them to play within their abilities.

Otherwise they fail.

Coaching matters.
