I was listening to the Setting the Edge podcast the other day and they were discussing the topic of taking Jamal Adams at 4 and how he would become one of the highest paid safeties in the league based off where he'd slot in on the rookie contract scale.
Do y'all think this would be a factor in our decision to take him there or do y'all think if you trust your scouts and if he's graded out as an impact player at his position you take him and pay him accordingly? Would maybe reaching a few spots for a position that earns more in the league add more value to that player bc you can have him at a discount for several years?
