Comey says there was no Wiretapping.

 

So who are these anonymous "American Officials" and "Law Enforcement Officials" reporting on Comey's behalf? Will we get an official statement from him or the FBI?

 

Also, according to the article they are referencing from the NYT, the anonymous officials say Comey is rejecting that it was the FBI performed an illegal wiretap.

 

From the NYT article, according to the anonymous "American Officials":

 

"Mr. Comey, who made the request on Saturday after Mr. Trump leveled his allegation on Twitter, has been working to get the Justice Department to knock down the claim because it falsely insinuates that the F.B.I. broke the law, the officials said."

 

No denial of wiretapping. Did Trump even insinuate it was the FBI? Weird for him to come out like this, if these anonymous sources are legit.
