Blake Bortles as a game manager is by far the best option.

Caldwell said they were hoping to limit him to 20 - 25 pass attempts per game. Even on a conservative offense that seems too low. If they can limit him between 25 - 35 pass attempts per game while playing the ground game perfectly and the defense leading the team. We could have a shot at at least an 8 - 8 record in 2017.

He was third last year in pass attempts with 625. That's ridiculous. That was a lot to put on him last year. That's basically 40 pass attempts per game. He's not Drew Brees, Philip Rivers or Aaron Rodgers.

He's not capable of picking a part a defense like these guys are yet. And even those guys shouldn't be throwing the football that many times per year because it's not getting them any closer to a Superbowl. New Orleans needs a running game. Green Bay needed a running game badly in that Atlanta loss.

I think if they can get the ground game going between whomever that may be. It'll be for the best. Whether it's a new draft pick / Yeldon / Ivory or Ivory / Yeldon / Grant. I think the ideal number we need to see on the ground per game is a minimum of a 4.0 YPC overall and roughly 110.0+ YPG on the ground.
