Yeah, but then there was this guy named Tom Brady who seemed to lack some of the measurables, and he turned out okay.  If people had just paid a little more attention to actual game tape and how he performed under pressure in college, maybe he would have been drafted a little bit higher. 

 

Of course, the 49ers, the sainted Bill Walsh and Steve Mariucci, ignored Tom Brady and went for the guy with all the measurables: big, strong, fast, threw the ball 100 miles an hour and that guy was Giovanni Carmazzi, who sounds like the opera singer in Naked Gun ("Hey look!  It's Giovanni Carmazzi!")   We all remember Giovanni Carmazzi, right?   No, I didn't think so.   He got hit a couple of times in preseason, and he just mentally shut down and never played a regular season game.   He's a goat farmer now.  Look him up.

DeShaun Watson got the holy crap beat out of him in the first half against Alabama, and he got right back up and kept playing at a high level in the most pressure packed situation imaginable.  That should tell you something very very important about the guy.   Actually, he did that two times.
