2 (35) Cam Robinson/Dan Feeney- Either would be great picks. Robinson has more upside as right tackle, but can start at guard. Must take OL here due to need.
2 (52) Demarcus Walker- Very productive and versatile. Safe pick who should consistently get 6-8 sacks per year.
3 (65) Carl Everett- May be best tight end option at this point, although Adam Shaheen is intriguing.
3 (68) Nathan Peterman- Better than Brandon Allen or Henne and has potential to eventually start if Bortles doesn't improve enough this season.
5 . Jordan Morgan- Small school left tackle who could move to guard in NFL.
6-7 . Just take 2 guys who would excel on special teams.
Other than possibly the 6th and 7th rounds, this draft is exclusively on offense since free agency addressed the defensive needs. The 1st 5 picks were all excellent/highly productive college players. I'll take this any day over guys who wow the scouts at the combine/pro days, but underachieved during their college career.
I like this draft. A few things though..,
In round two I agree with OL and would go with Cam if he's there, but he's like gone. In that case I'd want more of a brauler than a zone blocker at LG whrein I'd prefer Dion Dawkins over Feeney. .,,although Feeney would be a fine pick too.
I don't know much about Walker...
Carl Everett? Did you mean Gerald Everett? I'm okay with Everett in round three... he's a phenomenal pass catcher and a willing blocker... just a bit small tho. That said, I'm not taking Everett over Bucky Hodges, but chances are Hodges won't last this long. Shaheen vs Everett is a very tough call. Shaheen has everything you want in a bigger TEs, he's just not as polished a pass catcher as Everett is.
Peterman in late round three would be a great pick. I like him even over Kaaya and Webb.
