As far as your comment goes, heavier vehicles cause more wear and tear on the roads and bridges than smaller, lighter, fuel-efficient vehicles. You may not like paying more gasoline taxes than a Prius driver, but it's a fair assessment.

I'm not sure why you were quoted either. My bad. I pay for those roads every single time I fill up so I will drive my truck until the wheels come off and not feel bad about it. I get what you're saying, but no. Not going to take on a payment for something I don't need. My truck runs just fine. When it quits I'll consider something else.
