It's that simple. I wouldn't go spouting off about people not being smart when you can only literally every see one side of things. You're way too narrow minded.

Sure you dont HAVE to sign them to another contract, but when youre drafting guys at fourth overall the idea is for them to be franchise players that contribute far beyond their first contract. You shouldnt have to "cut your losses" with a fourth overall pick.
