I SHOULD HAVE CLARIFIED MY COLTS REFERENCE.  I was referring to a few years back (2011 season) when we beat the Colts in Week 17 which enabled them to get Andrew Luck.  Many posters on here thought that was the turning point to our downturn and Gabbert was going to evolve from the few games of success we had late in that year (even though the Colts were tanking).  This concept of not winning in Sept & Oct and then squeezing out some December wins under the Gus era was probably the worst thing for this franchise because it gave us false hope.  

 

Regarding our win vs the Titans late this season, that win an definitely be marked as a true meaningful late season win since the Titans were in the playoff hunt, we knocked out their QB, then went on to take away any hope they had come in with.

 

In any event, this year may be different (riding momentum) given some of our momentum was established by significant changes to the staff and not simply by beating teams that cashed in their season.
