The party of small government wants to blackmail cities - cities! Not states - into mandating policy handed down from the executive branch of the federal government.


All because of xenophobia.


What pathetic morons you have all become. Why are so afraid of illegal immigrants? You are much more likely to be victimized by an American.

 

Now let's look at what we have here that is reality.

 

Certain cities and jurisdictions refuse to comply with federal law in that when an ILLEGAL alien is detained by law enforcement, they should be turned over to federal authorities.  The illegal alien is detained by law enforcement because they broke city, county or state law.  So the illegal alien has "two strikes" against them.

 

1.  They are in the country illegally.

2.  They broke local, county or state law.

 

It has nothing to do with xenophobia and everything to do with rule of law.  It's not that those of us that are not liberals are "afraid" of illegal aliens, it's about upholding the law of the land.

 

Certain jurisdictions including municipal (city), county and it's fast becoming some states refuse to abide by federal law.  That's OK though, they can do that.  They just will do it without federal dollars coming to them.
