One of the primary duties of the federal government is to protect and defend against all enemies foreign and domestic. An illegal alien (undocumented worker in "liberal speak") has broken the law and presents a danger to this country. It might not be in the form of violence, rather it might be in the form of "economic danger". Sanctuary cities typically allow illegal aliens to apply for and receive "benefits" or "assistance" which is pretty much provided through federal funds. That equates to your federal tax dollars (assuming that you actually pay taxes) going towards supporting them.


In simple terms that even a liberal should understand, the federal government asks law enforcement officials to report any illegal aliens that they have in custody. Basically these "sanctuary cities" refuse to do so. It doesn't matter if the suspect is in custody for a DUI or a murder. The liberal "sanctuary cities" refuse to get rid of this kind of scum.


The bottom line is, it doesn't matter "why" or "how" an illegal alien came into the country, what matters is that they need to go. If the so-called "sanctuary cities" want to harbor them, then they need to deal with the issues that they bring and not do it with federal funding.
