But then shoot me in the face because I don't want to live in a world where any running back costs a top 5 pick and a 2nd and 3rd on top of that. 

 

Trent Richardson did cost a 4th, 5th and 7th for one spot ..  I mean if a team is dumb enough, there is historical evidence to back up samjag

 

Then the Colts came in a said, hey we can make an even dumber trade! They sent.. hahahah ... a 1st rounder to Cleveland.I mean, not even Kevin Costner can make that kind of deal. 

 

Assuming that NFL teams are adults with analytical skills and football sense, trades like that should not happen. Carolina's David Gettleman has been pretty wise as a GM, he let Josh Norman walk and his only really questionable draft mistake was Shaq Thompson. I would also think the Panthers would want to leap frog Jacksonville if they want to beat us to Fournette. I don't see any team doing that for a running Back, especially in a deep running back class but we have been wrong before. 

 

Hopes of trading up is that a team wants to leap from Tennessee or New York.. in which case the Titans (again) have more trade leverage thsn Jacksonville because New York is in the QB market making them a team you'd want to jump over.
