No reason not to pick it up honestly. If he performs well and you don't have it, you're going to sign him for more than $18 mil most likely anyway. Just the way the QB market is. If you pick it up and he sucks, you can cut him. It's only guaranteed for injury and as bad as he's had it, he's stayed healthy.
