I think since they didn't pick up the 5th year option you'd have to think QB will be a strong consideration in the first few rounds if the value is there at the pick. Not necessarily to supplant Bortles on opening day this season, but to have someone on the roster already for the 2018 season so we're not going into the next off season without a viable QB on the roster. They still have until mid May to pick up the option, but if they intended to do so all along, why wait?
They're either waiting to see how the draft shakes out (meaning they're interested in at least one QB in this draft) or they never had any intention of picking up the option. |
