They're either waiting to see how the draft shakes out (meaning they're interested in at least one QB in this draft) or they never had any intention of picking up the option.

Why rush it?  Right now he is in a prove it scenario.  All of the pressure is on him to be the man.  If he doesn't you move on, if he does you may have to pay more to keep him but at least you'll know you have your guy.  Diamonds are made by putting pressure on coal.  A QB picked up in the 3rd to 5th rounds with a new coaching philosophy should provide all the pressure needed to see what BB is made of this year.  So far I like what he is saying and doing this off season.  Just like most of us here I am hoping he puts it all together and can be the man.
