Manziel has a shot to be a decent NFL QB, but he'll need to learn when to scramble and how to avoid taking big hits.  We've already seem him suffer some injuries this past year.  Not bad enough where he missed multiple games but in some games he did have to sit.  In the NFL those same hits will force him out of games.  He'll need to learn to scramble less and to scramble more effectively, ie not to get hit.  I've seen unbiased measurements of him at 5'11.5.  So its not like he is a midget.  And yes he is probably an inch or so taller than Wilson.  But while being an inch or so shorter, Wilson is probably 10-15 pounds heavier.  Manziel isnt that big.

 

Take away Manziel's ability to scramble around though and you take away his biggest asset.  He is barely an above average college qb when he has to sit in the pocket.  Doesnt have the biggest arm and will force throws into coverage. 

 

This isnt the 60's.  The days of Fran Tarkenton are over.
