Yeah, this is definitely a QB-driven league, and many QB's are slightly overdrafted just for the sake of having "their guy."

 

I think Bortles does end up coming out, and if he does, he will be a top 10 pick.  My ideal scenario would be trading back with ATL for their first, and maybe an additional second or third -- or even more -- so they can take Clowney, and we take Bortles at six.

 

Look, I'm sick of the over-criticism some of these QB's get.  Sure, some deserve to be criticized, but no QB is perfect, not even Teddy.  We have lacked a franchise QB for -- well -- we've never really had one.  I'd be willing to swing for the fences on Bortles.  I think he's capable of being a Reothlisberger type player in that he's a big guy who moves well, may make some boneheaded mistakes from time to time, but at the same time he's a guy you can ride in the 4th QTR.  You want the ball in this guy's hand when it matters the most; he's proven this time and time again at the collegiate level.  I'd be down to draft this guy.
