Not necessarily. Tossing Bortles this early says "we have a better alternative". This is why people demanding that Bortles should be pulled from his starting position are in for disappointment. He's beaten Henne out in fair competition time and time again - and don't tell me it's because of his salary or draft position - the decision has been made by people who aren't responsible for those and whose jobs depended on playing the quarterback with the best chance to win. Until we have a better alternative, Bortles is the starter. As soon as we have a better alternative then either he's a backup with potential to improve, or he's gone, depending on how those at the top evaluate him. Any draft pick we get in return is just a bonus.
