No matter who they draft they wouldn't be better this season? That's your opinion. It's also my opinion. There are some people who think otherwise - if one of them happens to be Tom Coughlin or Dave Caldwell then it could be the 'win now' move from their perspective, combined with a bigger upside for future seasons as well. If you believe that Bortles isn't going to win for this team, and that one of the QBs available when the Jaguars pick is, and that their performance this season will be at least as good as Bortles this season, then what about that isn't 'win now'? (Answer: well, the opportunity loss in the draft pick not being used elsewhere has to be accounted for - you'd have to bet that the improvement from Bortles to your new QB would be more significant than the improvement from, say, our current RB corps to Fournette...)
