There's one of two things to read into why they waited until after the draft to do this. They either wanted to feign interest in a QB to the rest of the league, or they did actually have interest in at least one of the QBs in the draft if he were available when they picked and he wasn't.
I still think letting him play for his NFL career this year would have been the wiser choice. We have a catastrophe scenario now if Blake has a season ending injury in pre-season or early regular season play. |
