How many more Manziel threads get started before the mods condense them into one giant thread like Tebow in 2010?

Quote:A lot of people I hear mention his name say he's on the same level as Bridgewater (or better in some cases) and it's mind-boggling. I think a lot of those people don't realize how much the game speeds up from college to the pros and they don't realize what skills QBs need at that higher level. Maybe the guy adapts and becomes a decent QB, but he's way too much of a gamble for my tastes at #3.Funny thing is that I agree with everything you just said Mark, I honestly do. The only thing I can't figure out though is why you(and a lot of other people) think Bridgewater is such a safe-bet? Or any safer than Manziel who consistently played better against better competition. Listen, I know, I know. You've heard every Tebow and Vick comparison under the sun. Manziel's too small, will get hurt, etc. And it's rote by now to think he's "a gamble" of a pick. But you wanna hear my opinion of a gamble? Only 2 QBs from non-major/BCS conferences(SEC, PAC, BIG-10, BIG-12, ACC) have been taken #1 overall in the draft in the last 15-years 1)David Carr from Fresno State 2)Alex Smith from Utah  IMO, if anything, history has shown that it's extremely difficult for the smaller-conference guys who haven't even played the best in college, to transition to the NFL game and lead a franchise in their first year against, like you said, the speed of the pros. If Teddy is taken #1, he will be the third in that distinguished list. To be clear, I'm not saying Teddy is bad, and I do think he can be the top pick this year. Just showing that anybody can do unpleasant comparisons, and IMO, every QB-prospect this year is a gamble on some level.
I want 3 players. Clowney, Bridgewater, Manziel. Jaguars have the number 3 pick. Just give me one of those 3 at 3, and I'm happy.
