The way our defense is designed
|
The way our defense is designed is all wrong to stop a team like the Patriots. It is well known that the Jaguars, like the Seahawks, want to have larger cornerbacks. Any team that builds that type of defense will have a severe matchup problem against the Pats. New England comes in with small, quick WRs. Large CBs just aren't going to be able to cover those guys. What we need is at least one smaller, quicker CB who can press a guy like Edelman. Othewise, those small New England WRs, will always get open. We don't have a single guy who is physically capable of press covering Julian Edelman. He's too quick for any of our DBs.
Of course, that's just one reason out of a dozen that we lost the game, but still, it's worth considering. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! |
