I have showed you a Jaguar example of a player that netted a 5th and he was worse than the player in this deal. And theres many examples of similar late round deals through the years with other teams as well.

I think what most rational people on this board recognize is that Lewis won't garner any real trade interest.  This is just you starting another daily "look at me!" thread that gets you the desperately needed attention you crave, and provides you with ammunition to continue howling like a jilted school girl when the team doesn't do as you command.

This is the crux of the matter and something you are determined not to accept you are embarrassingly wrong about.

 

We can all belly ache about a decision we feel is bad, I belly ached about the Monroe trade, some belly ached about drafting Anger, others about releasing D. Smith.

 

These are things that have actually happened and we can watch the results every Sunday and therefore we can legitimately gripe about them.

 

When something doesn't happen, like a trade, you simply have no point of reference to suggest whether it should have happened or not seeing as you have no idea what factors were in play. You don't know if Caldwell has offered Lewis to every team in the league for a conditional 7th only to be told no. To suggest he has failed because he can't match up to the frankly silly trade you made up in your head is so stupid its actually funny.

You have said on numerous occasions that a 5th should be gettable, suggesting anything less would be at least a bit of a disappointment right? But ok if we are being pedantic, if he doesn't to trade at least 1 more player for a pick that will be a failure.

 

Same applies, you don't know what he has or has not done to bring in extra draft picks therefore you are in no position to belly ache without looking stupid. Of course this gives us all a great laugh so, do what you got to do.

Almost all of my posting is Jags football related. Maybe a fringe 1% of it is posts like this responding to a yokel whose hurling insults. 

Jags football related?  Your posts constantly follow the same boilerplate:

 

1.  Make up some demand for the Jags front office.

2.  Declare that if they don't meet your demand it is because they couldn't possibly know as much about running an NFL team as you do.

3.  Wait to see what happens.

4.  Twist whatever does or does not happen to somehow mean you were right.

4.  State that the Jags somehow screwed up because they just don't have the intelligence to be able to run an NFL team as well as you do.  

5.  Watch TV and Play Madden to gain more NFL front office experience.

6.  Return to step 1 in a new thread.

TMD, is right on this one, Lewis would make a nice trade.

But this big picture of his to release everyone including shorts is crazy.

Shorts is a building block, and you don't just dump them for possible draft picks.

Some People are just consumed by the idea that some extra picks is THE answer.

No!. The answer is to hit on some draft picks. There are tons of picks who

never amount to squat, and dumping proven receivers for "maybes" isn't the

answer.

If just draft picks were the secret, the Browns and the Lions would be Champs year in and out.

You need a GM that Hits. Not has a lot of at bats.

I wouldn't trade Shorts for an "at bat"

 

The best line came on page one, "lewis isn't really a receiving TE", that was funny.

What is he a tackle? Lets just put another tackle out there then.

If your TE isn't a "receiving" TE, he aint a TE in this league for long.
