Marcedes Lewis Criticizing Fans

Quote:I'm sure some team will go "hey derp, he's 12 feet tall, bet we can use him in the redzone", only to be disappointed that he has no hands.

Nope, I bet a hard nosed coach that cares about winning can whip that mentally soft piece of garbage into a real football player.  Unfortunately, we have a weak minded fool who does not put a premium on winning running this organization.

So you have what we have here, which is the way he wants it.  Well, he gets it.

I truly believe these remarks and those similar to what Lewis said can be attributed to CTE

Lewis has been trash for like 3-4 years straight. He should worry aboit getting better on the field and stay off of twitter

He'll be retired in 8-7-6-5..........and maybe we can draft a real TE.

The Jags should just put this on the side of their helmets until they have back to back winning seasons.

Lewis should shut his useless trap up.  He's a bum that wouldn't be second string on most teams.  Somebody has a message for him

Right?  They could use a hologram decal...  So depending on the angle you're looking at it, it's moving!  That would be sweet!

Quote:This is not the case of a tweet that is blown out of proportion.  He seriously reiterated the losing mentality multiple times.  If that's honestly how the players on the team feel, we've already conceded losing.  I know it shouldn't make me angry to hear this but I can't think of a quote from a player that is more infuriating.  I'd cut his butt TODAY if I was Caldwell.  Lewis is not good, he's expensive, and he's got a loser mentality.  Vince Lombardi would be rolling around in his grave right now if he had to hear this.

LOUD NOISES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe that's why we have a bad history of losing in the second half.  The players thing Eh I'm tired now so Let me rest cause winning is not important.

I can't wait until waffle iron hands lewis is off this team. I hope he gets cut so he realizes how bad he sucks because he seems to have a very high opinion of himself. Remember that time he was wide open in the endzone and the ball clanged off his hands and he tripped over his feet? What a klutz haha

Hey, I've been grinding all week.  We're winning at half time, so the process obviously is working.  Let's go ahead and coast the rest of this game.

Monday, we have to start the grind again, anyways...

LOL!  It's sad, but I can see this type of mentality creeping into weak minded fools like this TE.  You don't need to catch EVERY ball thrown your way.  You're grinding baby.  You trust the process.  You want to make sure you're doing it the right way, the catches will eventually come.  What a joke!

Quote:Perhaps that's what he meant. I know it has to be annoying for the players to feel they give it their all and then get bashed by the fans, I get that.

What's interesting is they all seem to genuinely still be completely bought in to what Gus is doing, which is out of the norm for a losing team after several seasons. Whatever Gus' ultimate fate, he does have a connection with his players and they seem to have the  want  to win, they've just not figured out how to win.
Ok Imagine this.

You go to work, do a horrible job and just terribly perform.  After your shift your boss gives you a high five and even passes you an Ice Cream cone.  Of course you would like him.  Same thing here.

Quote:"If you’re somebody that has a fixed mindset who thinks that it’s all about winning then you’re going to do anything you can to get your results, no matter if you’re doing the wrong thing or being selfish or whatever. As long as you get your results that’s all that matters to you, and that’s not how we think in this team."

Not sure I understand what this means? No one is asking anyone to be selfish or do anything wrong. Is he making a quasi patriots kind of reference? Strange comment.

The above quote tells you exactly why the Jags are losing all the games they do and why Gus is 8-30 (and counting).

That's a losing mentality way of thinking and unfortunately for Gus, it is too late to change it now.

Every other HC out there thinks it's all about winning except for the Jags HC. I guess it does explain why the Jags have been so bad since Gus has been here, especially here 6 games into year 3.

Sure, Gus might be able to pull off a win or 2 here and there, but as far as ever really getting into the playoffs and getting a home playoff game, that's just not going to happen with a losing mindset like that.

I'll say it again, Gus will NEVER reach the point of having a winning record as the Jags HC. He just won't. A HC whose players have that kind of mentality will NEVER recover from an 8-30 start to his coaching career.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

He should be ashamed for his performance before this ridiculous comments

Marcedes Lewis 2015 stats:

6 catches on 20 targets for  48 yards.  What a bum

I think this type of reinforcement usually happens when the person/worker involved is developmentally disabled or has a mental disability.

It's basically giving positive reinforcement and encouragement to people who are mentally challenged to get them to become better at what they are doing.

So Gus believes the players are mentally challenged?  This explains Cyprien Diving at air or Lewis has balls bouncing right off his hands.  Thanks for the insight.
