Man it's getting to be an effort coming in here every day. I don't think it's the job per say. I just think at 58 the daily grind is getting really old. But hey, if I play my cards right I should be able to retire by the time I'm 79.

that's rough man, seems so far off for me but I know it comes up fast. we're trying to plan now for retirement but it's hard with the 4 little ones. Way to close to paycheck to paycheck to be honest, I should do a better job saving money.

Any construction guys on here? That home we're talking to the bank about, it has an addition built on the back that wasn't done right. The mobile home itself is fine no leaks or anything but they built this addition where the back door was and it's about 6 inch's from the home itself with a hallway that looks like 2x4 and plywood. It's leaking all over the place, trying to figure it we'd be better off paying to have the thing torn down or having someone fix it. I would like to have the addition it's an extra 200 sqft of living space but it would prevent us from closing with it like that.

My cat George likes to play fetch. She will bring me her "baby" (cat toy) and chase it when I throw it down he hall then bring it back to me to do it again. Well...that's how fetch works. :yes:

I'm in Connecticut for what the weather services are telling us is the worst storm to hit the East Coast in the history of everything, ever. If their calculations are right - which were apparently done on a Paddington Bear, six and under model calculator - we should be descending into Martial Law and have to fight off saber tooth tigers and Polar Bears in order to scavenge up food.

 

At least there is still internet.

Man, the dogs have been driving me crazy the last couple of weeks. I have a feeling they keep hearing 'critters' in the back yard and they keep waking me/us up so they can go inspect the back yard. Them waking us up is bad enough. But I'm sure the neighbors aren't too appreciative of them barking their heads off at 3:00 in the morning.


Oh well, I guess they're just doing their jobs.

I can't say that part really bothers me. He has this little French Bulldog who thinks it's sole purpose in life is to bark the entire time it is outdoors, day or night, rain or shine. It is one of the most annoying animals I have ever encountered...including Deacon.


I really like my neighbor. He's a great guy. The dog, not so much.
