***Official Third 2016 Presidential Debate Thread***

Quote:Also have nothing to do with her 8 years in the White House...

I wouldn't tout her political "career" as a positive either.

Don't get me wrong, I don't support Trump and his circus either.

You don't have to like Clinton's actions at the White House, but it absolutely does count as part of her 30 years in politics. I am not the only one saying that.

Will you vote for her?

Quote:To be fair she's done a little more then just he bills wife. You know that.

But on that token how does does being a celebrity with multiple failed business ventures make you qualified for president?

That was in response to JW, but my quote feature didn't work for some reason. She's definitely done more since she was the First Lady, but simply living in the White House as a wife doesn't give you a leg up on being President.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???

It was on response to JW mentioning her 8 years on the White House. I did not watch one second of the debate myself.

Quote:Nobody knows everything that happens at the White House, but it is well understood that the first lady sometimes plays a role in the president's decisions. It worked that way for the Clintons.

Meh first lady does less then than VP. They can push for things like healthcare or healthy eating. But other than having their spouse's ear they don't do much policy wise. Though Hillary might have been one of the more more influential FLOTUS. she fancied herself an Eleanor Roosevelt

Scarecrow thinks living in the White House for eight years does not count toward Hillary Clinton's political career. I tried to explain why it does qualify as part of her political career.

Because being a wife doesn't mean you're a politician.

Is Mrs Obama an 8 year politician?

I don't care about Chicago at all. But damned if everyone who's nots a stinking Yankee fan should want to see the cubbies get one.

This is what I am getting at. Living in the White House gave Hillary many opportunities for eight years to go far beyond being a wife and mother, helping all Americans in any way she could. FLOTS is a job title.

You know for a fact Hillary Clinton followed up with eight years in the Senate and four years at the State Department. Obviously those two jobs are qualifications, to be president.

Just because someone held those political offices qualifies them to be president?
