So, one person tells you about a horrific event in her childhood, you don't ask for more details but still arrive at the conclusion that raping girls is practiced by a significant number of migrant Mexican men.

As I said earlier, it's a choice between the lesser of two evils.  I'll take someone who hasn't broken the law or compromised national security over someone who has done just that and got away with it.

A significant portion of the men are. It is part of the culture to have sex with young girls. You can call it rape or pedophilia. I knew a (white) woman who grew up in rural California. She was attractive but has no interest in sexual relations and told me why. There was an abandoned car on the farm where the workers would take the young Latino girls. She was about the same age as the girls being raped but, being white, was "off limits". So she would go into the car and hold hands with the girls as they were being serviced by her "uncles". It kinda turned her off to the whole idea.

I understand anecdotal evidence is not empirical evidence.  It's like when a black man talks about how white people cross the street at his approach, or how store security follows them around because they wear a hoodie.  People hear this and agree that society is racist, even though this is not overt evidence of racism.
