Scrimmage

Quote:He is still serviceable at LT in case we make a playoff run and we are in a pinch at LT.

But he just showed Jag Nation he is a bad to the bone left guard.

He is having the game....err...scrimmage of his life right now.

At LG, that is.
Exactly, they need to give him as many snaps at LG as possible.  We know he can play LT if its an emergency but just leave him at LG and let him get the reps at his new position.

Breakout Performance goes to Ficken

Quote:Joekel is just bad

I've been watching him, and please trust me. He is going to make an awesome left guard.

He can get to the 2nd level. He scans for the pick ups in schemes, he mauls the LBs, and he doesn't drop his head when blocking which shows he can create creases for the backs.

We just found ourselves a guard.

He is bad a LT, I agree.

Imagine Joke with Linder next to him!

Quote:Couple of guys who showed up with the 3's:

Calhoun

Bowman

Greene made a couple of nice plays tonight. Grant showing his speed. Ficken looks better than Myers too.
Yeah, I like Calhoun in coming out of the draft.  Not sure how he didnt get drafted.  Greene at kick return this year?  Bowman does look good and there is def. a kicking competiton

Because they wanted to give him a CHANCE to show why he was selected high at LT.

Quote:One of my main points about fowler when he came out was that I have never seen a player that plays as violent as he does.

I can't wait until the regular season.
He just loves the game! He loves to just flat out play hard, love to see that!

He was in the QBs face in 2 seconds without being touched.

I feel bad for David in week 1.

It's gonna be like Monroe in his rookie year going up against a guy like Freeney.

Not sure but there is no looking back.  They just need to look forward to him playing LG and not even think about playing him at LT even if Beechum isnt ready.

Whatever doubts I had about the OLine is not as bad after tonight.

Linder is back. Parnell is doing his thing on the right side. Cann is only getting better....still haven't heard a peep from him which is great.

And that leaves The Joke....well the Joke is on us bc who knew he could play guard.

Man this is going to be a crazy good season.

All we need is Beechum to get healthy and play at a high level and our line looks solid and much improved.

Well atleast now we know why the Jags didn't go after a guard in the offseason.

Any chance he's challenging Jonathan Wells for his roster spot?

I kind of hope Wells wins this one because he's so much younger, but may the better player win.
